Archiving and interoperability

Revista Transcendencia Investigativa (RTI) adheres to the metadata self-archiving policy through the Open Archives Initiative Protocol for Metadata Harvesting (OAI-PMH), making it visible in various academic indexing platforms.

Self-Archiving Policies

RTI is affiliated with the PKP Preservation Network (PKP PN) and has an ISSN Portal. Our policy allows:

  • Self-archiving or depositing of works at the time of publication
  • Archiving of both pre-prints and post-prints or publisher's version/PDF
  • Guarantee of self-archiving with the DOI assigned to each article

Digital Backup and Preservation

The RTI technical team implements a rigorous backup system:

  • Backup of all articles every two months in the system's CLOUD
  • Additional backup every three months on physical hard drive
  • Long-term preservation through presence in multiple academic databases

Readability and Interoperability

RTI's Open Access policy facilitates:

  • Complete readability of articles and their metadata
  • Interoperability under the OAI-PMH protocol for open data and open source
  • Availability of complete publications and individual articles in HTML, PDF, XML, and ePub formats
  • Expedited reading on any device and computing platform

Preservation Commitment

RTI is committed to ensuring the preservation of its content for as long as it remains active in the databases where it is indexed. This commitment includes:

  • Comprehensive backup of published articles
  • Conservation of associated metadata
  • Maintenance of the IT structure
  • Ensuring long-term integrity and accessibility of content
  • Availability in various digital formats to facilitate future access
