The lack of managerial skills, leadership, effective communication, motivation, commitment, and teamwork affects the ability of public institutions to meet their objectives and provide quality services. This research aims to generate meaningful lessons on the management of managerial skills in the context of human relations as a strategic element in public institutions. The study is based on the interpretive paradigm, with a qualitative approach and a participatory action design through the systematisation of experiences. This process includes five stages: experience, methodological design, reconstruction of history, voices of the protagonists, and critical interpretation. The systematisation reveals the importance of continuous training to mitigate administrative conflicts and highlights the need for a management style based on ‘Being’, where being a manager implies responsibility and the development of practical skills, integrating social, economic, and human aspects for holistic and effective management.
