The research aims to design a strategic human talent management model from a sustainable perspective that responds to the needs and particularities of CABE-UNEFM. Guided by the hermeneutic-documentary analysis methodology, 16 peer-reviewed scientific articles were used as the analysis population. The results of the hermeneutic-documentary analysis allowed us to construct a comprehensive vision of human talent management in the public university context, highlighting the need to articulate six dimensions for a transformative and contextualised model, namely: (1) theoretical and conceptual foundations of human talent management; (2) strategic management and job performance; (3) technological innovation and digital transformation; (4) ethical and sustainable models; (5) management in the public university context; and (6) challenges in crisis scenarios. Therefore, the importance of recognising talent as a strategic subject of institutional change is highlighted.
