The research objective is to analyse the economy in terms of humanising and productive development within the framework of the State. It adopted a mixed methodological approach that integrated Jürgen Habermas' socio-critical method with the interpretive hermeneutic method ‘see, judge and act’ (SJA), developed by Latin American liberation theology. The research proposes an economic model that reduces structural inequalities and promotes real opportunities for all sectors of society, especially for the most vulnerable groups. Through a critical analysis of macroeconomic and microeconomic variables, it demonstrates how the state can act as an effective mediator between both levels to ensure comprehensive development that respects human dignity.
