Ethics and good publishing practices policy
Plagiarism prevention
The journal implements a text similarity detection system (Similarity Check) for all submissions. A maximum similarity threshold of 10% is established, above which manuscripts will be rejected. This measure ensures the originality of published content.
Authorship policies
The determination of authors and their order is the exclusive responsibility of the researchers, without intervention from the journal. Once the editorial process has begun, modifications to authorship are not permitted, which prevents subsequent disputes and ensures transparency.
Redundant publication
The journal explicitly prohibits duplicate and fragmented publication. If these practices are detected, the guidelines of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) will be applied, which may include significant sanctions.
Consequences for ethical violations
In the face of ethical infractions, the journal will implement corrective measures based on recommendations from international organizations such as COPE, ICMJE, and CSE. These may include:
- Rejection or retraction of the article
- Prohibition of future publication for all authors
- Notification to other journals
- Communication to institutions of origin, funders, and ethics committees
Commitment to originality
Authors must declare the originality of their work and the absence of conflicts of interest. Plagiarism leads to a permanent prohibition from publishing in the journal.
Exclusivity during evaluation
Manuscripts cannot be simultaneously submitted to other journals during their evaluation process in the Revista Transcendencia Investigativa (RTI). Detected duplicate publication will result in the exclusion of the article and a publication ban for the authors for a period of 6 years.
These standards reflect a commitment to academic integrity and editorial quality, aligning with international standards of ethics in scientific publication.
